Snoring and sleep-related breathing concerns
Snoring may be associated with nasal blockage, tonsil enlargement, weight, airway anatomy or sleep-disordered breathing. ENT evaluation can identify whether an anatomical or nasal factor may be contributing.
Assessment may include
- Nasal airway review
- Tonsil and throat examination
- Discussion of sleep quality and daytime symptoms
- Referral for sleep testing when appropriate
Treatment options
Management can involve nasal treatment, lifestyle guidance, sleep medicine collaboration or surgery in selected cases.
