Septoplasty for nasal obstruction
A deviated septum can contribute to one-sided or persistent nasal blockage. Septoplasty may be considered when symptoms are significant and do not improve sufficiently with medical treatment.
Before surgery
Assessment focuses on the pattern of obstruction, internal nasal anatomy and whether allergy or other factors also contribute.
After surgery
Patients receive guidance about nasal care, activity restrictions, expected congestion and follow-up.
